Motorcoach

Historically, most motorcoach companies have made Charlottetown and Summerside their primary destination in Prince Edward Island. High prices and increasing concerns about energy costs, however, have caused many tour operators to seek out alternative locations on the Island. While Cavendish is a mandatory stop on almost all tour itineraries, there has not been a viable dedicated motorcoach destination available in the area in the past.

With the construction of the new Cavendish Conference Centre in 2005 and the overall restructuring and upgrading of the Resort at Cavendish Corner a very appealing and cost-effective new destination option is now available to all motorcoach operators visiting Prince Edward Island. Since 2005, in fact, the Resort at Cavendish Corner has become the fastest growing new tour destination in the province. From 6 tour bookings in 2005, we have increased to over 30 tour bookings in 2007 and inquires (and particularly repeat bookings) are still growing rapidly. It is our intention to make motorcoach a cornerstone of our operation in the future.

We believe that our excellent rates, central location in the heart of Cavendish, close walking distance to many Cavendish area attractions and amenities and our exceptional quality facilities, food and service, make us a uniquely appealing option for those operators seeking to lower costs, freshen their itineraries and differentiate their product within a very competitive marketplace.

TOUR POLICY:

ROOM RESERVATION: We will hold rooms without a deposit. However, a non-refundable $500.00 deposit is required 45 days prior to tour arrival.

ROOMING LIST: A list is required two weeks prior to arrival and any changes while en-route must be communicated to the The Resort at Cavendish Corner 24 hours before arrival.

PORTERAGE: For ease of handling baggage, it is suggested all baggage carry distinctive label tags showing name of passenger, the tour and a number which corresponds with the number on the rooming list. Cost is $4.50 per bag (round trip) + applicable taxes.

COMPLIMENTARY ROOMS: A complimentary room will be provided for the tour escort when 10 or more rooms are occupied, when 18 or more rooms are occupied, the driver will also receive a complimentary room.

MEALS: Restaurant service is available and hours are 7:00 am - 8:30 pm May, June, September, and October and 7:00 am - 9:00 pm July and August. There are 2 dining rooms available and reserved seating will be provided to motorcoach. We would be happy to arrange a banquet or special menu if pre-arranged with our food manager prior to arrival. Please inform us of special dietary requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate them. Entertainment can also be arranged

*A call by the escort to the Property (1-800-565-2243) just prior to approaching the Confederation Bridge would be greatly appreciated. It allows us to completely prepare for your arrival.
