Another season is up and running at the Resort at Cavendish Corner and we hare looking forward to greeting all our old and new friends once again.
There always seems to be something new to experience in Cavendish each season. Over the last few years we have seen the development of the beautiful new Gulf Shore Parkway in the National Park with its miles of segregated ocean view bicycle paths, the amazing professional theatre offerings at the Montgomery Theatre and the world class Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
On a more local scale, last year saw the opening of Kaptain Kid's Dairy Bar right next to the resort. This year we have finally seen a new tenant occupy the former Royal Atlantic Wax Museum property at the Rte 6 and Rte 13 intersection. The building has received a major facelift and a total of 8 new retail outlets will now be open directly adjacent to the resort. Great activity for one of our very rare rainy days!
We performed a number of significant renovations at the resort last year and this year we have been concentrating on our very popular restaurant, Rachael's. We are very fortunate to have recruited an amazing Head Chef, Donovan Benoit from Newfoundland. Donovan hails from the Canadian Culinary Institute and has over 10 years of practical experience in higher end restaurants including the Delta Beausejour in Moncton and Dalvay Resort in Dalvay, PEI. Returning for their 8th season are our amazing Pastry Chef, Doug Murl and our superb daytime cook, Kathleen Gallant.
We are extremely excited about the culinary team at Rachael's this year and we hope you will have an opportunity to experience their skills first hand.
We still have lots of rooms at the Resort this Summer except for a few very busy periods. We hope to see you!
